Northwest Crossing is one of our most vibrant communities in Central Oregon. It was master planned to encompass city parks, so you have the ambiance of a park-filled community, but you don’t have any HOA fees. The parks are all run and managed by the city.
It’s also a mixed use community with townhomes, condos, and live/work availability. The homes were originally designed by nine builders, so you have a vast variety in the architecture. It leans kind of heavily towards craftsmen but has a large variety of styles.
Most of the homes are accessed through the rear (so they have alley access), which really gives a wonderful street scene when you’re driving through Northwest Crossing. You don’t see driveways and cars, you see lovely front porches.
And everyone in Northwest Crossing likes to walk to the main street where you have a wine bar, a lovely Sparrow Bakery, La Rosa Mexican Food, catering, Sunny Yoga Kitchen (which is one of my favorite yoga bowls).
And so, the community just embraces this downtown. It has its own festival and a farmers market in the summer. It has a bookshop, a barbershop – really too much to list it all! And
within the community, and there’s even an elementary school, a junior high and a high school.
It’s a wonderful place to live with easy access to mountain bike trails and Downtown Bend.
